01 ABOUT ME
MY JOURNEY
IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU. MY NAME IS SHANNON. I was born but not raised in Texas. I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. As a wanna-be southerner, I moved back to Texas as soon as I could. I've always enjoyed fitness and grew up playing a variety of sports. I continued to play soccer through college and am now an avid runner & yogi.

NUTRITION FOUND ME DURING MY EARLY COLLEGE DAYS when I struggled with food intolerances not only as a college athlete, but also while living in a small, remote town. This challenge allowed me to get creative with meal planning and cooking while requiring research and adequate planning to keep myself (and team members) well nourished.

I CONTINUE TO LOVE & RESPECT FOOD AS IT IS OUR BODY'S NATURAL MEDICINE. Food connects us as human beings (Hi summer BBQ's & ice cream socials!); comforts us when we need it most (a dash of mood-boosting maca powder in that morning smoothie); nourishes our body, mind & soul (post-yoga herbal tea, anyone?); and has an incredible healing power (Mmm, turmeric milk).

I LEAN TOWARDS A NATURAL APPROACH TO WELLNESS while focusing on preventative measures first. Good health starts with a healthy mind. Healthy thoughts encourage a healthy body. As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, we will work together on this journey of enjoying food in its most natural form to support a healthy mind.
THINK HAPPY. BE HAPPY.
